Types of Mesothelioma Cancer
Mesothelioma is a cancer that attacks mesothelium, namely the tissues that coat various organs of the body. There are four types of mesothelioma cancers, namely:
- Pleural mesothelioma (Pleura mesothelioma), which is a cancer that attacks the mesothelium lung membrane (pleura). This type is the most common type.
- Peritoneum Mesothelioma (peritoneal mesothelioma), namely mesothelioma in the abdominal membrane (peritoneum).
- Pericardium Mesothelioma (periardial mesothelioma), which is a mesothelioma that attacks the protective coating of the heart organ.
- Mesothelioma Testicles (testicular mesothelioma), i.e. mesothelioma that attack the protective lining of the testes or balls.
